On November 29th and December 2nd, I presented my first concert in Colorado with the Ponderosa Elementary School music program. The theme of the concert was “Global Celebrations: Winter Around the World”. Our program featured songs from many different countries and also included singing in foreign languages. There were solo singers, dancers, and also student readers introducing each song.
There were so many students that the concert had to be split into two different nights! The first was for the students in grades 3-5. The second concert showcased students in grades K-2. They sang four songs: I Feel Like Fa La La La, Edelweiss, Six White Boomers, and Auld Lang Syne. During the last verse of Auld Lang Syne, the 3rd and 4th grade students joined in.
